The education teams at the Pulitzer Center and Retro Report invite educators to the free professional development webinar “Atomic Bomb Survivors and the Lessons of Nuclear War” on Wednesday, August 13, 2025, 7:00-8:15pm EDT.
Timed to coincide with the 80th anniversary of the use of the atomic bomb in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, this webinar will provide educators with ready-to-use classroom resources for covering World War II. They will also learn about approaches for ethical decision-making and the human costs of conflict.
Participants will analyze clips from the Pulitzer Center-supported project Children of the Atomic Bomb and connect with Retro Report Senior Producer Scott Michels, who reported and produced the short film that's part of the project.
