Amy Frontier
TEACHER FELLOW
Amy Frontier has taught English at public schools and camps in Tennessee, New York City, Connecticut, and Michigan since 1998. She currently teaches English at Pioneer High School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She earned her B.A. in English at the University of Michigan and her M.Ed. in English Education at Vanderbilt University. At Pioneer, she teaches Contemporary World Literature, English 10, Peer Counseling, and a 9th grade Academic Skills class. She also advises the book group “Pioneer Reads.” She has participated in many fulfilling professional development experiences over the course of her career, including a Fulbright-Hays Fellowship in China, a National Endowment for the Humanities program in Detroit, and a Fulbright Teachers for Global Classrooms Teacher Exchange in Morocco. Outside of school, she serves on the boards of the Student Advocacy Center in Ypsilanti, Michigan and the Pioneer High School PTSO. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, watching short films, traveling, and reading books that will take her on new adventures in this world and beyond.
