Diana Aisenberg
(artist)

What is, in your opinion, a professional artist?
A serious artist is professional. Neither he or she needs to show him/herself nor have a bulky CV, nor attend show openings.
To have an asserted position before art and life makes the artist hyper-professional.

What's the relation between art and money in your work?
More than ever before in Argentina, art today has to produce work and money. Art in all its versions has to produce money and I will go for that.

How do you resolve the conditions of visibility of your work in the context you work in?
Internet, love, friends, events, shows, and even the very own circulation of the work makes it visible, I go after it, wherever it makes itself seen.

How would you define cultural tourism?
The people that do it are more concerned with the travelling and moving around certain places than with what they actually see along the way.

How would you define culture shock?
Coming back to Buenos Aires is always a cultural shock, no matter where you are coming from.

What's the relationship between control and chance in your work?
The see-saw.

How important is it for you to be able to talk about your work?

Extreme. The artist is a speech producer, art is the content driving source.
