Ephemeral architecture with balloons,
air and needles in the loft of the Museo
de Arte Moderno
500 x 400 x 500 cm. Buenos Aires, 2000
."...I continued working with sound biting the air space in
balloons, numbering them and going over a path of 24 planes, to
be understood as the 24 channels of sound, so that when sound disintegrates,
the space construction continues, and here there is a formal need
of the concave and the convex in the work, a presence of death,
a construction in the limit of breaking through audition, in a manner
of speaking, the vacuum of the work would be completed with the
sound and the senses, a system for the enumeration of the parts,
the measures in time and space which gave me a codex, a music.
It seemed an ambiguous construction, in the beginning, but as in
Cortazar's Rayuela, it was a system to be read in many ways, a memory
in the museum's loft..."
