Ernesto Ballesteros

Participant - Meeting for Confrontation of art-works

"In Duplus, at the entrance, I made 36 turns with a pencil, while two artists, Hernán Sala-manco and Lucio Dorr, pushed me; I later counted the intersections, which amounted to around 120. In the small drawing room
I drew, on the wall, 1000 lines, making a double image, pressing harder with the pencil on those two opportunities. In the last work I drew 50 lines from one point to another, with a pencil, later counting the intersections which were 2759. That is:
36 turns while pushed,120 intersections
Artists, pencil and acrylic on wall.
Buenos Aires, 2000.
1000 lines forming a double image
Pencil on wall.
50 línes, 2759 intersections
Pencil and acrylic on wall.
Therefore, we can assert that, only by nature, the show is called 3 drawings on wall. Measurements: typical wall of French construc-tion of the beginnings of the 20th Century."

Ernesto Ballesteros

Artist. Lives and works in Buenos Aires. He started working with comic strips, later with a scientific vision of the microcosm, then astronomy, but he also made incursions into the subjects of bonsai, model airplane making, the art of finding stones and optics. In 2000 he started a series of drawings in which he appropriates, in an artistic manner, scientific methodology. He laid down strict rules to follow as a first instance of drawing, he draws and states the results of his thesis
as the title of his work.
