Flowers are like sweets
A first step in my work process deserved a written support. At the stage
where I happen to be now, I do not intend to have a literal transcription
of those manuscripts onto a videotape, but a syntagmatic treatment that
will enable me to research into the possibilities of a new syntax, combining
text and image as well as new possibilities and conditions of visualization.
I think that a work never ends. There is always something else to be said,
plus the fact that there is no reply to what is said, since signifiers
always refer to other signifiers. Borders are blurred. Material supports
are a means, an accident in the process; not a minor one, indeed; unpredictable,
perhaps. That is why I am interested in the construction of a narration
throughout time and space, while considering re-semantization conditions
in manners of expression that circulate in different environments.
Las flores son como los dulces, a game of language...Comprehension
demands that images be sacrificed; comprehension of images demands that
language be sacrificed.
